Founded in 1996, Byram Animal Hospital offers a range of veterinary services, and our professional and courteous staff seeks to provide the best possible medical care, surgical care and dental care for their patients. Dr. Carlos Abdul-Chani
Dr. Carlos is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Carlos is a member of NJVMA (New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association), AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) Dr. Carlos is married to Dr. Maria Cruz and is the father of two children, Monica and Chris and recently, father-in-law to Taylor. Dr. Carlos lives in Sussex County with his Bullmastiff, Mona, an African Grey Parrot, Cookie and cat Mr. FuFu. When Dr. Carlos is not in surgery or seeing patients, he loves to be on his mountain bike or spending time in Maine with wife, Dr. Cruz.

Dr. Maria Cruz
Dr. Maria Cruz is a Graduate of University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She also attended Michigan State University for a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship. Dr. Cruz is a member of NJVMA ( New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association), AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association). Dr. Cruz is married to Dr. Carlos Abdul-Chani and the mother of two children, Monica and Chris and recently mother-in law to Taylor. Dr. Cruz lives in Sussex County with Dr. Carlos, their Bullmastiff, Mona, an African Grey Parrott, Cookie and cat, Mr. FuFu. When Dr. Cruz isn’t treating patients, you will find her in her gardens, weather permitting. Dr. Cruz also loves to spend time with Dr. Carlos and Mona in Maine.
